Keeping a promise

A long, long time ago I promised to make a tutorial about the Felted Figurines. Unfortunately, it is more than the time that is needed for something like this. The most important thing is the Idea (what exactly do you want to create) and the proper mood (you have to be extremely patient and calm, and last but not least – to be happy. I’m serious!).

What you need:
– Felting needle (it has a triangular section and some kind of little thorns)
– A hand full of felt (it shrink A LOT as it is processed)
– Patience : )

Instructions: And here you go – just start punching the felt ball with the needle and observe how it gets its shape. You have to keep an eye on your project from all its  sides. Keep rotating and punching until you’re happy with the shape. If you need to attach another element to you project ( here I needed to attach the wings and the tail-feathers) you have to make the element first. Then just place the element and start punching with the needle through both the elements and the felted fibers will keep them permanently in place.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! Have a nice day and, more important – have fun!
